My Favorite Classes from the 2010 CMS Expo
I had the opportunity to attend the 2010 CMS Expo in Chicago on May 3rd – 5th. I learned so much about Joomla! and the open source software community. There were classes, interactive panels, and even a Joomla! meetup.
Three of my favorite classes included...
Jen Kramer, who runs her comany 4Web and teaches at Marlboro College, held Joomla! SiteBuilder 1 and Joomla! SiteBuilder 2. She gave me a much better idea of how all of the pieces come together to build a Joomla based website.
I took a class with Steve Burge, teacher at Open Source Training called Write Answers: Writing For the Web which focused on writing for your blog. The most important pointer – practice!
Rich Blalock from Expression in Design taught Building Your Open Source Web Business. He definitely provided some wonderful inspiration!
I cant wait for the CMS Expo 2011! Hope to see you there.
